Between piedmont and horizon

We will leave the mucuposada, take the principal road of San Ramón and go down to the rural school of the hamlet. Then we will head to the northeast following the Camino Real, already used to pre Hispanic populations between Calderas and El Cobalongo in direction to Altamira de Cáceres. We will walk through coffee plantations, pastures and wooded areas little transformed by mankind. We will cross La Bellaca river and climb a foothill of the Andean cordillera from where we will enjoy a spectacular view on San Ramón and the other sectors of Calderas. On our way back we will stop for an enjoyable and deserved swim in La Bellaca river. Calderas landscape is part of the environmental and economic richness of coffee plantations located in humid forests, which are links and protective barriers of the Andean virgin forests.
